Areas of Practice

Pregnancy Ultrasound

Obstetric Ultrasound is used during pregnancy to monitor the development and growth of the fetus. It can also help detect any abnormalities or complications, such as ectopic pregnancy or fetal malformations.

Liver Ultrasound

Elastography FibroScan is a special ultrasound technology that measures liver stiffness and fatty changes in the liver. This non-invasive procedure provides crucial information for diagnosing and monitoring liver diseases without the need for a biopsy.

Pelvic Ultrasound

A pelvic ultrasound is used to investigate a range of symptoms and conditions.
It can help investigate symptoms such as pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding, and assess conditions including ovarian cysts, fibroids, polyps and endometriosis.
Depending on the reason for the examination, a pelvic ultrasound may be performed through the lower abdomen and/or internally (transvaginally) to provide clearer images of the pelvic organs.

Paediatric Ultrasound

A paediatric ultrasound is a safe examination and commonly used to investigate a range of conditions in infants and children.
It can be used to assess the abdomen and kidneys, as well as conditions such as developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), pyloric stenosis, the spine in young infants and other areas of concern.

General Ultrasound

We offer a wide range of ultrasound examinations that may not be listed among our online booking options. These may include ultrasound of the kidneys, neck and thyroid, scrotum, groin and other areas.
If you are unsure which examination to book, or cannot find the type of ultrasound listed on your referral, simply send us a copy of your referral. One of our team members will review it and contact you to arrange the appropriate appointment.

Vascular / Vein Ultrasound

Vascular ultrasound is used to examine the blood vessels in the body, including arteries and veins. It helps in diagnosing conditions such as the treatment of varicose veins, blood clots, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and peripheral artery disease (PAD).

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is used to evaluate the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints in the body. It is often used for assessing sports-related injuries, joint disorders, and guiding injections for pain management.

Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound is used to visualise the organs in the abdomen, such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and intestines. It is helpful in diagnosing conditions like gallstones, liver disease, and kidney disorders.

Ultrasound Guided
Injections

Ultrasound-guided injections combine diagnostic imaging with targeted treatment. Using real-time ultrasound, a clinician can visualise the needle and surrounding structures to accurately deliver medication to the affected joint or soft tissue, improving precision and helping manage pain, inflammation, and injury.

Ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool, but it’s the care and attention to each patient’s experience that makes the real difference. I aim to ensure every scan is accurate, gentle, and clear.

Patients often comment that our images are far more detailed than scans they’ve had elsewhere, and I take pride in delivering both precision and compassion.
